My physical science work experience includes nine seasons as a Physical Science and Hydrologic Technician for the U.S. National Park Service and U.S. Forest Service Pacific Southwest Research Station. My projects involved air quality, water quality, hydrology and limnology work across remote Wilderness regions of the Sierra Nevada mountains. Some examples include:
Stream gauge equipment installation and datalogger programming
NPS Sierra Nevada Network Lake Monitoring sampling
Wading, ADCP, salt dilution, and rhodamine streamflow measurements
ROHN tower, meteorologic instrument, and snow pillow/pinger installation and maintenance
Satellite and line-of-site telemetry installation and configuration
Air quality and soundscape monitoring
Historic weather data analyses, writing protocols and leading laboratory trainings
